In my own opinion, MDGs are a goal that has been set and it has relationship with setting goals and building solution. A goal is what we want to achieve in the future.

We are very glad to have this privilege of having the MDGs Campaign project in our school for free.
We have learnt in the seminar that we should do things that would help make our country (known to be a developed country) be as the U.S.A and even better than that.

We are standing here to say thank you to the MDGs Campaign Project for impacting this knowledge on us.
Our word to people out there is “though you can’t do everything, do something you can, to make our country a developed one”.

I learnt that students’ Millennium Development Goals campaign and gives us the knowledge to know how we leave life and know what is happening around our communities so that we can change and achieve the goals.  The MDGs are things we do and see every day. We should learn to do something that will make us progress in future. I am happy to be given the chance to be one of you.

Oton, Blessing (JSS 2B)
I have learnt that the MDGs are goal that can help us to know things that are happening around the world and the newspaper activity we undertook help us to know more about the 8 MDGs goals.

Emmanuel Orie - Benefits of MDGs
Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are set targets to make our nation a better place. They have set out 8 goals that happen to cover all the available problems that possibly could be faced by countries. I usually wonder sometimes who pays for the free treatment, food and maternal treatment given to people for free. Its always a thing of joy to know that people are still willing to do good and help. I was a child that during my childhood I faced lots of challenges. I was medically unstable and it broke off frequently making me feel pains. MDGs goal number is about “Reducing child mortality”, It was through this that I was helped.

From my discoveries MDGs has utilized N13.824 billion on various development in the Federal capital territory alone. In my state of origin which happens to be Abia state, they have made numerous efforts towards the betterment of the state academically, politically and otherwise. I cannot number the infrastructural development provided in the state during the past years, they visit schools, inform them on useful information. Even issues on “SEX”, which our parent might not introduce to us for fear of corrupting our mind.

MDGs report shows that out of the 155 countries, only 37 countries has achieved universal basic education globally. It has also been discovered that out of every 10 children born in Nigeria, 1 dies of preventive disease due to lack of parental care, awareness or access to information and treatment.

MDGs have made known to the world that women have the right to vote and be voted for as in goal number 3 “Gender equality and women empowerment”. 10 million women nationally agree with this and has started a movement to create awareness to the public that they can also lead a positive change. In 1987, no woman was nominated nationally and this brought about monopoly. It is found out that two third of world’s population is made up of women. Awareness on child’s rights and abuse has also been raised.

I have been so educated from the Millennium Development Goals campaign project.
